Last Sunday, April 11, the Olympic Pit Federation Trophy was held at the facilities of the "Vía de la Plata" Club in Mérida, with the participation of 118 shooters. Despite the fact that the day began with rain and clouds, a difficult weather for this sport, then it improved and left us a good day of shooting. There were more than 12 hours of competition, where the athletes acted in an exemplary way, helping to organize the run on wheels and there was no problem. They managed to shoot 125 targets plus three finals (junior, senior and veterans), finishing at night and with artificial light. Thank you all for your participation and for helping to make the run go ahead.

The absolute champion of the spread was Severiano Calderón Algaba with 119 targets 43 in the final; the runner-up was Antonio Belvís Hernández with 116 targets 39 in the final and in third place was José María Pinto García with 116 targets 30 in the final. In the ladies' category, Guillermina Fernández, tied with Clara González and Lidia Maldonado at 89 plates. The junior champion was Juan Antonio García González, with 107 plates 40 in the final; the silver medal went to Gabriel Prieto González with 108 plates 37 in the final, and the third position was taken by Tomás Ruiz Rodríguez with 99 plates 26 in the final. In the veterans category, Antonio Fernández Luna won, with 100 dishes 37 in the final; the runner-up was Francisco Javier Cascón García with 100 dishes 33 in the final, and the bronze medal went to José María Barquilla Ávila with 105 dishes 26 in the final.
